OpenAI Launches GPT-6 and Interactive Intelligent UI
OpenAI released the GPT-6 model and a new Intelligent UI that replaces text-heavy responses with interactive charts, graphs, and buttons.
OpenAI launched the GPT-6 model on Wednesday alongside a new interface called Intelligent UI. This update transitions the ChatGPT experience from a predominantly text-based interaction to a visual one, integrating interactive elements such as editable graphs, customized calculators, tappable buttons, and interactive charts.
Product manager Aarush Selvan stated that "ChatGPT has predominantly been a text-based interface" and noted that "the most helpful answers aren’t just text." The company designed these visual tools to simplify the learning of complex topics and assist users with practical tasks, such as understanding mechanics through diagrams or planning trips.
The Intelligent UI is currently rolling out globally for Pro, Plus, Business, and Enterprise users. Availability for users on the free and Go tiers begins Thursday. OpenAI has included a customization feature allowing users to adjust how frequently visuals appear in their responses based on personal preference.
