Google Pixel 11 Leaks Reveal Tensor G6 and Price Hikes
Google plans to launch the Pixel 11 series with TSMC-made Tensor G6 chips, AI-driven hardware, and increased pricing starting at $899.
Leaked reports detail a strategic shift for Google with its upcoming Pixel 11 smartphone lineup, prioritizing AI-integrated hardware and higher price points. The series will include the Pixel 11, Pixel 11 Pro, Pixel 11 Pro XL, and Pixel 11 Pro Fold. Pricing for the base Pixel 11 is expected to start at $899 for 256GB, as the company reportedly plans to discontinue the 128GB entry-level option. High-end models may reach $2,249 for a 1TB Pixel 11 Pro Fold.
Hardware updates across the line include the Tensor G6 chipset manufactured by TSMC and a MediaTek M90 modem, replacing Samsung hardware to improve reception and battery efficiency. The devices are expected to launch with Android 17, featuring Google Gemini as a proactive AI agent to automate tasks. Some reports suggest a potential RAM decrease for Pro models from 16GB to 12GB.
Separate leaks regarding the budget-friendly Pixel 11a, codenamed Formosan, suggest it will also utilize the Tensor G6, potentially making it the first 2nm chip on the market. The Pixel 11a is rumored to feature a 6.3-inch display with 3,350 nits peak brightness, 8GB of RAM, and a Titan M3 security chip. The main Pixel 11 series is scheduled for unveiling on August 12, 2026, while the Pixel 11a is expected to launch in spring 2027.
