ExxonMobil to Repair Offshore Pipeline in Guyana
ExxonMobil will conduct maintenance on a non-operational offshore pipeline near Crane, Guyana, from October 14 to December 1 to prepare for the Gas-to-Energy project.
ExxonMobil Inc. will perform maintenance on a near-shore section of an offshore pipeline near Crane on Guyana's West Coast Demerara starting October 14, 2026. The repairs are scheduled to continue until approximately December 1 and address an issue identified during inspections conducted earlier this year.
The company stated that the pipeline is currently pressurized with nitrogen and is not yet operational, which means the work poses no risk to the environment or the public. ExxonMobil intends to complete these repairs before the startup of the Gas-to-Energy project to prevent future operational interruptions.
To ensure safety during the maintenance period, the Maritime Administration Department of Guyana will issue a notice to mariners operating in the affected area.
