Dublin Airport Expects 527,000 Passengers for August Bank Holiday

Dublin Airport expects over 527,000 passengers during the August bank holiday weekend and advises travelers to arrive early to avoid delays.

Dublin Airport expects more than 527,000 passengers to travel through its terminals over the four-day August bank holiday weekend. Graeme McQueen, a spokesperson for the airport, identified this as one of the busiest periods of the summer. Sunday, August 2, is forecast to be the peak day with 136,000 passengers, followed by Friday with over 134,000, Saturday with 129,000, and Monday with 128,000.

Airport authorities recommend that passengers arrive two hours before short-haul flights and three hours before long-haul departures to ensure a smooth journey. Officials reported that the facility has handled over 100,000 passengers daily throughout the summer, with 95% of departing passengers clearing security in 20 minutes or less.

Travelers are reminded that electronics and liquids in containers up to 2 liters no longer need to be removed from bags during security screening.
