India and South Korea Expand Defence Production Cooperation
India and the Republic of Korea held a joint committee meeting in New Delhi to expand bilateral cooperation in defence production and logistics.
The Ministry of Defence of India and the Defense Acquisition Program Administration of the Republic of Korea convened the 10th Joint Committee Meeting on Defence Industries and Logistics Cooperation in New Delhi on September 29, 2026. Co-chaired by Dinesh Mahur and Kim Il Dong, the session focused on scaling bilateral efforts in defence production and logistics.
The meeting included representatives from several major defence firms. Participating Indian companies included Larsen & Toubro and Bharat Earth Movers Limited, while South Korean representation included Hanwha Aerospace, Korean Air, Hanwha Systems, Korea Aerospace Industries, and DS Navcours.
Following the committee discussions, Kim Il Dong met with Indian Minister of State for Defence Sanjay Seth. The two officials used the meeting to reaffirm a shared commitment to deepening collaboration across the defence sector.
