Verizon Resolves Widespread U.S. Wireless Voice Service Outage

The disruption began around 3:30 p.m. ET and primarily impacted major metropolitan hubs, including New York, Los Angeles, and Boston, as well as residents in California, Washington, and Pennsylvania.
At the peak of the outage, Downdetector recorded over 13,000 complaints. While the technical failure centered on Verizon, customers of other major carriers, including AT&T and T-Mobile US, also reported connectivity issues. T-Mobile stated its own network was operating normally and attributed the disruptions to another provider.
Verizon acknowledged the problem via X and advised affected users to restart their devices. The company stated its engineers were working to identify and resolve the issue. Service was later reported to be working normally.
