Zenith Energy Expands Italian Solar Pipeline to 233 MWp
Zenith Energy acquired a 10 MWp solar project in Pavia, Italy, bringing its total development pipeline closer to its 240 MWp 2026 target.
Zenith Energy acquired a ground-mounted photovoltaic development project with an indicative capacity of approximately 10 MWp in the Province of Pavia, Lombardy. This purchase expands the company's cluster in Pavia to roughly 30 MWp across four projects and increases its total solar development pipeline to approximately 233 MWp.
The project occupies 11 hectares of land designated as a suitable area under Legislative Decree 190/2024, which qualifies it for the Simplified Authorisation Procedure. The company paid EUR 1,078,000 for the land, with payment deferred until the project reaches Ready-to-Build status, a milestone expected within 10 to 12 months.
Chief Executive Officer Andrea Cattaneo stated that the expansion in Lombardy, Italy's largest electricity market, puts the company on course to meet its 240 MWp target by the end of 2026. Additionally, the company reported that its Torrente Cigno concession is producing approximately 1,000 MWh per month, benefiting from a steady climb in Italian electricity prices since the summer.
