Owners of the newly released iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max are reporting two significant software bugs following the launch of iOS 27. One issue involves a Face ID glitch where devices freeze and reboot after a failed biometric authentication attempt, particularly when users try to unlock protected apps like Passwords or private Safari tabs. This failure is linked to the redesigned, smaller Face ID sensor array hidden behind the screen.

Additionally, users report that screens randomly stop responding to touch input. While some owners believe these issues are software glitches that can be resolved with a patch, Apple support has diagnosed some affected units as having faulty hardware and recommended device swaps. The company has not yet officially commented on the reports.
