U.S. Army Expands Drone Marketplace to 33 Nations

The U.S. Army expanded its Unmanned Aircraft Systems Marketplace to 33 nations to accelerate the acquisition of commercial drone equipment and counter-drone defenses.

The United States Army expanded its Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS) Marketplace to a total of 33 nations during a signing ceremony on Tuesday in Washington, D.C. Representatives from Albania, Canada, Croatia, Egypt, Japan, Kuwait, Morocco, and Panama signed statements of intent to join the digital platform.

Launched in March 2026, the marketplace uses a government-to-government framework to facilitate the rapid acquisition of pre-vetted commercial drone equipment. The system is designed to bypass traditional bureaucratic delays associated with foreign military sales to better address the threat of inexpensive drones through open architecture systems and layered defenses.

Since its inception, the marketplace has processed $800 million in transactions. Additionally, the Army has awarded $7 billion in counter-UAS contract vehicles through the system. Assistant Secretary of the Army for Acquisition, Logistics and Technology Brent Ingraham stated that the signing makes the marketplace a global effort and is now live, while Acting Secretary of the Army Adam Telle noted the system connects soldiers directly with builders.
