Paris Aéroport closed Runway 4 at Paris-Orly Airport on August 10 to begin extensive renovation works scheduled to continue until December 17, 2026. The project involves repairing pavements, upgrading lighting, and improving aircraft stands.

The closure will affect approximately 3,000 flights, with an average of 750 flights cancelled or diverted each month. Many of these flights are being rerouted to Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport on the opposite side of the city.

Several carriers are heavily impacted by the disruption. easyJet confirmed it was asked to cancel flights from August 10 to October 24. Other affected airlines include Air Algérie, KM Malta Airlines, RAM, Pegasus, Iberia, and Tunisair. Passengers have been advised to coordinate with their airlines for refunds or rebooking options.
