Deutsche Bank Analyst Projects S&P 500 Reach 8,500

Binky Chadha of Deutsche Bank AG predicts the S&P 500 could hit 8,500 by year-end driven by AI growth and industrial recovery.

Binky Chadha, an analyst at Deutsche Bank AG, reports that artificial intelligence and industrial strength are driving broad-based growth across multiple sectors, keeping stocks at record highs. Chadha notes that second-quarter earnings growth for the S&P 500 reached 34%, with contributions split nearly equally between AI beneficiaries and other industries.

This growth stems from a combination of AI acceleration, a recovery in ISM manufacturing, and the impact of the war in Iran on oil and commodity prices. Chadha maintains a bullish outlook despite potential volatility leading up to midterm elections.

Based on a four-year price appreciation channel, Chadha suggests the S&P 500 could reach 8,500 by December 31. He argues that current equity positioning is aligned with 15% growth, which leaves significant upside given the actual 35% growth rates observed.
