Baloch Yakjehti Committee Accuses Pakistan of State Terrorism and Disappearances

The Baloch Yakjehti Committee alleges Pakistani security forces conducted targeted killings of oil workers and forcibly disappeared four men in Balochistan.

The Baloch Yakjehti Committee (BYC) has accused Pakistani security forces of conducting a campaign of state terrorism and enforced disappearances across Balochistan. The organization condemned an October 15 attack in the Jiwani area of Gwadar, where a death squad allegedly opened fire on Baloch workers associated with the oil business. The BYC characterized the firing as an extremely barbaric act and part of a broader economic genocide following the forced closure of border trade.

Following the attack, the BYC reported that security forces forcibly disappeared four men between October 15 and October 17. Taiyeb Nasir and Pazeer Nasir were allegedly taken from their homes in Kech on October 17 by the Frontier Corps and Military Intelligence. Two other men, Izat Ullah Baloch and Asif Baloch, were reportedly taken from Mastung on October 15 by the Inter-Services Intelligence and Military Intelligence.

The rights group claims these incidents are part of a systemic pattern of violence. According to BYC data, 507 individuals were subjected to enforced disappearances in the first six months of 2026, with 303 remaining missing and 32 killed in custody. The organization identifies the Frontier Corps, Counter Terrorism Department, and the army as the primary perpetrators of these actions and has called on international institutions to protect the human rights of the Baloch people.
