Ceylon Petroleum Corporation Raises Diesel and Petrol Prices
The Ceylon Petroleum Corporation increased prices for diesel and Petrol 92 Octane effective October 1, 2026, with Super Diesel seeing the largest hike.
The Ceylon Petroleum Corporation raised the prices of diesel and Petrol 92 Octane effective midnight on October 1, 2026. The price adjustments varied by fuel type, with Super Diesel experiencing the most significant increase, rising by Rs. 50, or 10.5 percent, to Rs. 528 per litre.
Other fuel types also saw increases. Auto Diesel rose by Rs. 10, a 2.6 percent increase, bringing the cost to Rs. 392 per litre. Petrol 92 Octane increased by Rs. 15, or 3.8 percent, to Rs. 414 per litre.
Prices for kerosene and Petrol 95 Octane remained unchanged, staying at Rs. 285 and Rs. 475 per litre, respectively.
