In Tazewell County, voters rejected a proposed one-percent sales tax for school facilities. Similar defeats occurred in the East Peoria area, where a tax proposal for the Fondulac Public Library District was rejected, and in the Limestone Township Fire Protection District, where voters defeated two separate proposals concerning the district's maximum tax rate and emergency services.
In Peoria Heights, voters supported an advisory question regarding fire protection services, though the result does not mandate immediate changes. All election results remain unofficial pending certification by local authorities.
