Intel India Develops Secure AI Architectures to Support Data Privacy

Intel Technology India Pvt Ltd is developing technology architectures designed to secure AI models and data as the Government of India implements its Digital Personal Data Protection regulatory framework. The company is prioritizing the delivery of affordable, heterogeneous compute platforms to scale AI across cloud data centers, networks, and edge devices.

Gokul Subramaniam, President of Intel India, stated that data privacy requires a combination of policy and technological solutions, specifically highlighting Intel's confidential computing capabilities. He also criticized the current state of education technology in India, describing the ratio of approximately one computer per 100 students as "appalling" and committing to expand access in alignment with the National Education Policy.

To support the domestic ecosystem, Intel is collaborating with Indian startups, universities, and software vendors. These efforts align with the Make in India and Atmanirbhar Bharat initiatives. The company intends to showcase its end-to-end AI compute capabilities at the AI Impact Summit in February.
