The Government of Armenia announced it will not restrict entry for Russian citizens seeking to avoid military mobilization and deployment to the battlefield. Border officials have been instructed not to question Russian nationals regarding the purpose of their visits, and the government noted that these citizens can enter the country without an international passport.
Secretary of the Armenian Security Council Armen Grigoryan and official Alen Simonyan stated that those fleeing the prospect of war are welcome to stay in Armenia and may return to Russia when they deem it appropriate. The government pledged not to obstruct these individuals and offered assistance if necessary.
