Nestle Sells Mainstream Supplements Business to Yellow Wood Partners
Nestle SA agreed to sell its mainstream vitamins and supplements business to Yellow Wood Partners for $1 billion to streamline its global portfolio.
Nestle SA agreed to sell its mainstream vitamins, minerals, and supplements business to the Boston-based private equity firm Yellow Wood Partners for $1 billion. The divestment includes seven brands, including Nature’s Bounty, Sisu, Osteo Bi-Flex, and Puritan’s Pride, which generated $1.2 billion in sales in 2025. The business operates primarily in the United States, with additional operations in Canada and China.
Chief Executive Officer Philipp Navratil is executing the sale to streamline the company's portfolio and focus on core pillars such as coffee, petcare, nutrition, and food. While offloading these mainstream brands, Nestle will retain its premium science-led supplements, including Solgar and Pure Encapsulations. The company intends to use the proceeds to reduce leverage and potentially fund future acquisitions.
Yellow Wood Partners plans to operate the portfolio as a standalone business to accelerate growth in categories such as gut health, immunity, and hydration. The deal is expected to close by the first half of 2027, pending regulatory approvals.
