Super PAC Spends $2 Million Targeting Senator Ashley Moody

A Democratic-backed super PAC launched $2 million in ads criticizing Senator Ashley Moody's voting record on the release of Jeffrey Epstein files.

A super PAC backed by former Democratic legislator Steve Pajcic spent $2 million on television and digital advertisements targeting Republican Senator Ashley Moody ahead of Tuesday's midterm election in Florida. The campaign features Marina Lacerda, a survivor of Jeffrey Epstein's abuse, and accuses Moody of voting against a September 2025 effort to compel the Justice Department to release Epstein-related files.

While the advertisements claim Moody cast the deciding vote to block the release, the Senate later passed the legislation by unanimous consent in November 2025. Moody's office maintains she supported the passage of the Epstein Files Transparency Act. The National Republican Senatorial Committee dismissed the ads as slander and a desperate attempt to attack Moody's record of fighting for sexual assault survivors.

Moody, who was appointed to the Senate in January 2025, is currently facing a challenge from Democratic state representative Angie Nixon. In a related effort, Democratic Representative Kathy Castor has promoted the released files through a mobile exhibit in Florida to highlight the scale of Epstein's sex trafficking crimes.
