Minnesota Gas Prices Drop Below National Average
Gasoline prices in Minnesota fell 11.4 cents per gallon to $3.82, outpacing a national decline amid concerns over the Strait of Hormuz.
Average gasoline prices in Minnesota fell 11.4 cents per gallon over the last week, bringing the state average to $3.82 per gallon. This decline outpaced the national average, which dropped 10.7 cents to $3.94 per gallon.
Data from GasBuddy indicates that gasoline prices declined in 47 states and diesel prices fell in 39 states during the same period. The national average price for diesel decreased by 5.1 cents to $5.27 per gallon.
Despite these declines, oil prices edged higher in Sunday night trading. This shift follows actions by the Government of Iran to push back against the reopening of the Strait of Hormuz, suggesting that the recent price relief for consumers may be temporary.
