Israeli Forces and Settlers Conduct Raids Across West Bank

The Israeli military conducted a series of raids and arrests across the central West Bank on September 21 and 22, 2026, coinciding with attacks on Palestinian property by Israeli settlers.

On September 21, forces detained five Palestinians in Salfit city, Bruqin, and Kafr al-Dik. The Palestinian Prisoners' Society reported that these actions were part of a broader pattern of systematic field interrogations, claiming over 100 Palestinians were interrogated across the region in two days. In Biddu, the society alleged that forces established a detention center in a seized home where residents faced physical assaults and vandalism.

Operations intensified on September 22 as military forces arrested at least four more Palestinians, including an 86-year-old man and his daughter in Tammun. Simultaneously, groups of Israeli settlers targeted Palestinian towns. In Al-Mazraa al-Sharqiya, more than 200 settlers damaged vehicles and homes, while in Silwad, settlers stole livestock and damaged property. These settler actions reportedly occurred under military protection. Other attacks involved the bulldozing of land and attacks on cattle in al-Mughayyir, Ni’lin, and the northern Jordan Valley, while forces established checkpoints to restrict movement around Ramallah and Al-Bireh.
