Blue Origin Expands Florida Facilities to Support 150 Annual Flights
Blue Origin is expanding its Florida infrastructure with new launch pads and manufacturing sites to enable 150 New Glenn rocket flights per year.
Blue Origin announced a major expansion of its Florida launch and manufacturing facilities on October 16, 2026, with the goal of eventually conducting 150 rocket flights per year. The company will add two new launch pads for the New Glenn rocket at Cape Canaveral, bringing its total there to four. To support a larger New Glenn variant, the company is investing in a manufacturing facility capable of producing 150 upper stages annually.
To facilitate recovery operations, the company will procure two additional landing ships to join its existing vessel, Jacklyn. Blue Origin is also constructing a customer integration facility featuring four payload bays in partnership with the United States Space Force.
Having already invested approximately $3 billion in Florida infrastructure, the company now employs over 5,000 people and works with 500 suppliers across Brevard and Orange Counties. Ian Richardson, Senior Vice President of Operations, stated that the company's manufacturing and operations footprint has more than doubled in recent years, now spanning more than 20 sites across the region.
