Claudia Sheinbaum Condemns U.S. Visa Revocations as Political Interference

President Claudia Sheinbaum condemned the United States for revoking the visas of Mexican politicians, characterizing the action as political interference. During a press conference on August 18, Sheinbaum argued that Mexico has historically been used as an electoral tool in U.S. politics.

Sheinbaum asserted that the primary issues in the current U.S. election are internal domestic problems rather than Mexico. She defined the bilateral relationship between the two nations as "coordination without subordination," stating that neither the U.S. State Department nor the U.S. Department of Justice will determine Mexico's internal affairs.
