Asda Stores Limited denied social media rumors claiming that its create your own pizza counters were being restricted to weekend-only service. The claims gained traction on X, where users shared a photograph of purported in-store signage suggesting the reduction in availability.
In response, the company confirmed that freshly made pizzas remain available daily across all 464 of its stores. This is the second time the retailer has faced such claims recently, following a wave of rumors in April that suggested the service would be discontinued entirely.
Alongside the denial, the supermarket chain launched a World Cup promotion. The offer features half-and-half pizzas priced at £3.98 for medium sizes and £4.98 for large sizes.
