Viasat Launches ViaSat-3 F3 Satellite for Asia-Pacific Region

Viasat Inc. activated its ViaSat-3 F3 satellite to provide over one terabit per second of throughput capacity to customers in the Asia-Pacific region.

Viasat Inc. has placed its ViaSat-3 F3 satellite into service, providing capacity to customers across the Asia-Pacific region. The satellite delivers more than one terabit per second of throughput capacity, more than doubling the bandwidth of the company's existing satellite fleet.

This deployment initiates revenue-generating operations for the F3 platform. It joins the ViaSat-3 F1, which has been operational since 2024. The company is now performing final in-orbit testing for the ViaSat-3 F2 satellite, which is designed to serve the Americas and complete the next-generation Ka-band constellation.

Chairman and CEO Mark Dankberg stated that the advanced technology of the F3, specifically its ability to maximize regional capacity density on demand within premium mobility markets, will drive growth and improved blended average yield and incremental cash economics across the company's portfolio.
