Israeli Strikes Kill Six Palestinians Across Gaza Strip

The Israeli military killed at least six Palestinians and wounded over 20 others in a series of strikes across the Gaza Strip on October 27 and 28.

The Israeli military conducted a series of airstrikes, drone attacks, and naval shellings across the Gaza Strip on October 27 and 28, 2026, resulting in at least six Palestinian deaths. On October 27, troops shot dead 28-year-old Mahmoud Samih al-Harsh in the Jabalia refugee camp, while another individual was killed by a strike near the al-Alam roundabout in Rafah. These operations occurred alongside Israel's parliamentary elections.

Violence intensified on October 28, with strikes killing at least four more people. In the al-Mawasi area of Rafah, a strike targeted a checkpoint operated by the Hamas-run Crossings and Borders Authority and a facility used by the Ministry of Economy and Finance, killing three employees of the agriculture, economy, and petroleum authorities. A separate strike in the al-Bayouk area of Khan Yunis killed one person and seriously injured a woman.

Additional casualties were reported in the Nuseirat refugee camp and al-Qarara, while drone strikes occurred off Khan Younis and naval shelling hit near the al-Shati refugee camp. Gaza health authorities report that the cumulative death toll since October 7, 2023, has reached 74,564. This includes 1,568 deaths occurring after an October 2025 ceasefire took effect.
