Canada Goose Holdings Inc. entered into an agreement to sell Baffin Limited, a Canadian performance footwear brand, to L.P. Royer Inc. Canada Goose originally acquired Baffin in 2018 to gain technical expertise for the development of its own lifestyle footwear line.
Chairman and CEO Dani Reiss stated that the divestiture is intended to simplify the company's operating model and focus resources on high-priority opportunities to drive long-term profitable growth. Reiss characterized the transaction as being about focus.
L.P. Royer Inc., a manufacturer of work and military footwear, intends to support Baffin's growth while preserving its technical performance and durability heritage. The transaction is expected to close in August 2026, subject to customary closing conditions.
