Malaysian Palm Oil Prices Forecasted Above 4,600 Ringgit
The Malaysian Palm Oil Council expects crude palm oil prices to stay above 4,600 ringgit per tonne through November 2026 due to biodiesel demand.
The Malaysian Palm Oil Council expects crude palm oil prices to remain above 4,600 ringgit, or approximately 1,127 U.S. dollars, per tonne in November 2026. This price support is driven by sustained biodiesel consumption and a seasonal decline in production following a peak in September, when Malaysia's production rose 16.4 percent to 2.11 million tonnes.
Industry analysts project that stocks will trend lower from November 2026 through February 2027. Further support for prices may arrive as imports recover following a decision by the Government of India to reduce vegetable oil import duties.
Despite these positive indicators, the council warned of potential downside risks. These include easing energy prices and a decline in global vegetable oil consumption within the food sector, triggered by ongoing economic and inflationary pressures.
