Israel Defense Forces Kill October 7 Kidnapper in Gaza

The Israel Defense Forces killed Saher Nidal Latfi Sakr, a member of global jihadist organizations, during a joint operation with Shin Bet and the Lahav 433 Gideonim Unit 33. Sakr was involved in the October 7 kidnapping of Noa Argamani and Avinatan Or and had supplied weapons to Hamas.

In a separate incident on September 27, the military released footage showing a terrorist using a child as a human shield to move weapons into a civilian home near central Gaza refugee camps. Troops identified the child and refrained from striking the target to avoid civilian casualties. The weapons were allegedly intended for attacks against Israeli civilians and troops near the yellow line boundary.

The military characterized the use of the child as a violation of international law and an example of the "systematic exploitation of children by terrorist organizations for terrorist purposes."
