Goldman Sachs Revenue Rises 23% to $18.68 Billion
Goldman Sachs reported third-quarter revenue of $18.68 billion, driven by a surge in equities revenue and expanded financing for AI infrastructure.
Goldman Sachs reported strong third-quarter financial results on October 13, 2026, with revenue rising 23% year-over-year to $18.68 billion. Earnings per share surged 39% to $17.01, exceeding analyst expectations. The growth was primarily driven by the Global Banking & Markets division, where equities revenue rose 72% to $6.44 billion.
The bank's Asset & Wealth Management segment reached a record $4.1 trillion in assets under supervision. CEO David Solomon noted that wealth management net inflows are annualizing at 12%, surpassing the firm's 5% target. The bank also returned $3 billion through stock buybacks and $1.49 billion via dividends during the quarter.
Strategic shifts included a partnership with Nvidia and five other financial institutions to finance AI infrastructure, addressing a gap where compute demand exceeds supply. Meanwhile, the Platform Solutions segment saw a decline following the sale of the bank's Apple credit card business to JPMorgan Chase. CFO Denis Coleman reported that the investment banking backlog remains robust, with strong revenue realizations in advisory and equity underwriting.
