Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis called for high voter turnout in Legislative Council elections and announced a forensic probe into a controversial audio clip.
Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis urged citizens to vote in large numbers during the Legislative Council elections on October 23, 2026. After casting his ballot in the Nagpur Divisional Graduates' Constituency, Fadnavis described the polling as a "celebration of democracy" and noted that voter enthusiasm mirrored that of general elections, specifically highlighting the role of teachers and graduates in the Upper House elections.
