Hims & Hers Plans Peptide Market Entry Amid Q2 Loss

Hims & Hers Health Inc. plans to launch wellness peptides by late 2026 while reporting a second-quarter adjusted loss that missed Wall Street estimates.

Hims & Hers Health Inc. plans to enter the peptides market before the end of 2026, offering compounds such as glutathione and sermorelin for longevity and wellness. The telehealth company is currently testing BPC-157 and awaits a decision from the Food and Drug Administration regarding the loosening of restrictions on seven different compounds. To facilitate this expansion, the company has already acquired a peptide manufacturing facility in California.

Financial results for the second quarter show an adjusted loss of 37 cents per share, missing analyst expectations of a 6-cent loss. Consequently, the company lowered the top end of its full-year EBITDA outlook. These results come as the company shifts its strategy toward selling brand-name weight-loss drugs rather than compounded versions, supported by a partnership with Novo Nordisk A/S.

Bill Newby, the company's director of investor relations, stated that progress on supply chains and clinical guidelines provides confidence that the company can move quickly if the FDA moves specific peptides to the category one list.
