Amazon, CoreWeave and Equinix Lead AI Infrastructure Growth

Amazon, CoreWeave and Equinix are emerging as primary beneficiaries of the expanding AI infrastructure market driven by corporate demand for cloud computing and storage.

Amazon.com and its subsidiary Amazon Web Services maintain a leading position in the global cloud infrastructure market, holding a 28% share as of the second quarter of 2026. The company leverages tools such as Bedrock and SageMaker to support the increasing corporate demand for AI automation and optimization.

CoreWeave has emerged as a specialized neocloud provider by repurposing Ethereum mining infrastructure into 51 AI-focused data centers across North America and Europe. The company reports a contracted revenue backlog of $104.2 billion and claims its GPU-based processing is 80% cheaper and 35 times faster than diversified platforms like AWS.

Equinix operates as the world's largest data center real estate investment trust, managing 282 data centers globally for more than 10,500 tenants. Analysts project significant growth for these three firms through 2028 as businesses continue to scale their cloud-based storage and computing power to support AI integration.
