NetApp Launches Novus Architecture to Scale Enterprise AI
NetApp Inc. introduced Novus, an intelligent data infrastructure designed to move artificial intelligence from pilot programs into full-scale enterprise production.
NetApp Inc. unveiled Novus, a new intelligent data infrastructure architecture intended to help enterprises transition artificial intelligence from pilot programs into full-scale production. Introduced at the NetApp INSIGHT event, the Novus architecture combines a data layer with an independently scalable metadata layer to support zettabyte-scale capacity and delivery speeds exceeding 100 terabytes per second.
CEO George Kurian stated that data remains the primary challenge for 93% of organizations pursuing production AI. He argued that a scalable metadata service is essential for implementing the governance, security, and control guardrails necessary to protect intellectual property and create trusted knowledge as AI scales across enterprise operational systems.
