Amazon to Report Q3 Earnings Amid AWS Growth
Amazon.com, Inc. will release third-quarter earnings on October 29 as its cloud division maintains a nearly 500 billion dollar backlog.
Amazon.com, Inc. will release its third-quarter earnings results on October 29, 2026. The company enters the reporting period with strong momentum in its cloud division, Amazon Web Services, which saw growth accelerate to 37% in the second quarter of 2026 and currently maintains a backlog between 496 billion and 500 billion dollars.
Financial performance shows operating income growth of 43%, a rate that currently outpaces competitors such as Microsoft. However, the company faces free cash flow headwinds resulting from a planned 2026 capital expenditure of 200 billion to 220 billion dollars dedicated to data center expansion and artificial intelligence.
CEO Andy Jassy stated that contracted data centers typically break even in under three years. Jassy noted that Amazon Web Services could eventually become a trillion-dollar annual revenue business, citing that 85% of global IT spending remains on-premises.
