Google Releases Android 17 QPR 2 Beta 1 for Pixel
Google launched the Android 17 QPR 2 Beta 1 update for select Pixel devices to improve system stability and fix various software bugs.
Google released the Android 17 QPR 2 Beta 1 update for eligible Pixel devices via the Android Beta Program. The update targets system stability and bug fixes, specifically addressing Bluetooth re-pairing failures, invisible notifications in the notification shade, and system crashes that occurred when invoking Gemini.
The update is available for devices from the Pixel 6a through the Pixel 10 series. However, the Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro are excluded from this release. These two models have reached end-of-life status, with the Android 17 QPR1 beta series marking their final update. Google stated that these legacy devices will continue to receive security patches until October 2026.
A public release of the QPR 2 update is expected in December 2026. The company has also scheduled a hardware event for August 12, 2026.
