Bodycare Plans 17 UK Stores After Administration Collapse
Bodycare is relaunching with 17 new UK stores and a digital-first strategy after being acquired by a consortium led by Charles Denton.
Bodycare is returning to the UK high street with 17 planned new store locations following its collapse into administration in September 2025. The retailer had previously closed all 147 of its branches before being acquired out of administration in April 2026 by an investment consortium led by Charles Denton, the former chief executive of The Body Shop and Molton Brown.
The brand is implementing a digital-first strategy centered on a new Bodycare Studio format. These locations will integrate content creator studios, live broadcasting facilities, demonstration zones, and professional piercing studios. The first store is scheduled to open in July 2026 at The Moor Shopping Centre in Sheffield.
Fifteen of the new outlets are intended to launch within a 12-month period, with most sites concentrated in the Midlands and the North of England. Company leadership stated that the brand is "just getting started" and intends to pursue further expansions beyond the initial 17 sites.
