IRGC Strikes Amazon Data Center in Bahrain

The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) claimed responsibility for destroying an Amazon data center in Bahrain on July 24, 2026. The IRGC characterized the facility as a hub for U.S. military intelligence and asserted that any infrastructure supporting U.S. strikes against Iranian territory is a legitimate military target.

This strike follows three weeks of U.S. military operations targeting Iran. The IRGC further accused the United States of committing war crimes by targeting civilian infrastructure and killing Arbaeen pilgrims near the Iraq border after peace agreements collapsed. As part of its current operations, the IRGC issued urgent warnings to civilians in Gulf states, advising them to remain at least 500 meters away from U.S. military facilities and covert residential sites.

In response to the attack, the Ministry of Interior of Bahrain activated air defense systems to intercept hostile drones and missiles. The ministry issued emergency sirens and alerts urging citizens and residents to seek shelter in safe places. Neither Amazon nor Bahraini authorities have officially confirmed the destruction of the data center.
