Azerbaijan Oil Exports Reach $10.1 Billion Through September
Azerbaijan exported $10.1 billion in oil and petroleum products from January to September 2026, while increasing trade and transit shipments to Armenia.
The State Customs Committee of the Republic of Azerbaijan reported that the country exported $10.103 billion worth of crude oil and petroleum products between January and September 2026. These products represented 48.04% of the nation's total exports for the first nine months of the year. While the total value of these exports rose by 13.02% compared to the same period in 2025, the actual export volumes decreased by 6.86%.
During this same period, Azerbaijan exported $23.45 million in goods to Armenia. This trade activity follows an October 2025 decision by President Ilham Aliyev to lift cargo transit restrictions to Armenia. The shipments to Armenia included gasoline and diesel fuel provided by the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan, along with transit shipments of Russian timber, fertilizers, and grain.
