Uber Expands Costco Delivery Partnership to 47 US States

Uber Technologies expanded its Uber Eats partnership with Costco to nearly 600 locations across 47 states to attract younger consumers and grow subscription bases.

Uber Technologies expanded its delivery partnership with Costco on September 16, 2026, increasing the availability of Uber Eats delivery from 17 to 47 US states. The rollout brings nearly 600 Costco locations onto the platform, allowing members to order all available groceries and household goods via the app after verifying their memberships.

The partnership aims to introduce Costco's bulk shopping model to a younger consumer demographic while growing the Uber Eats customer base. To drive subscription growth, the companies introduced incentives that allow new customers to purchase Costco memberships directly through Uber Eats and provide Uber One discounts to existing Costco members.

Despite the expansion, Uber's stock price remained largely unchanged. Market analysts attribute the muted response to other corporate developments, including a plan to reduce the company's workforce by approximately 10% and a proposed $14.8 billion equity acquisition of Delivery Hero, which would extend Uber's reach to 99 markets.
