Firmus Technologies Seeks $5 Billion Australian IPO
Firmus Technologies plans to raise up to $5 billion in an Australian initial public offering by October to expand its AI data center infrastructure.
Firmus Technologies Pty is seeking to raise up to $5 billion through an initial public offering in Australia, targeting a listing by the end of October. If successful, the deal would rank among the largest IPOs in the history of the Australian market, drawing comparisons to the 2014 Medibank Pvt offering.
The data center provider has already secured $2 billion in commitments from investors, including Nvidia Corp. and Jane Street. These funds support the company's expansion into the artificial intelligence supply chain, a sector currently seeing massive fundraising activity alongside anticipated listings from Moonshot AI and Anthropic PBC.
To bolster its operational pipeline, Firmus has signed contracts with several major U.S. technology firms. This includes a specific agreement to provide computing power to OpenAI through two data center sites located in Malaysia.
