Pennsylvania Launches Weekly Voter Registration Dashboard Before Midterms

The Pennsylvania Department of State launched a new online voter registration dashboard on Monday to provide a transparent, visual representation of voter data 71 days before the midterm elections. The tool allows the public to track total registration numbers, party affiliations—categorized as Democratic, Republican, and Other—and breakdowns by age, county, and district.

Updated on the first business day of each week, the dashboard utilizes graphs and charts to visualize registration totals for both active and inactive voters. It specifically tracks the year-to-date cumulative net change in registration at the statewide, county, and district levels. The release coincides with the first data update following the National Voter Registration Act quiet period for list maintenance.

Secretary of the Commonwealth Al Schmidt stated that the dashboard is part of a commitment to provide a clear view of how registration rolls change as citizens register, move, or pass away. While the Department of State manages the dashboard, Pennsylvania’s 67 county boards of elections remain responsible for maintaining records via the Statewide Uniform Registry of Electors system using state and federal legal procedures.
