Imole Campaign Council Demands Arrest of Senator Francis Fadahunsi

The Imole Campaign Council demanded the arrest of Senator Francis Fadahunsi for allegedly inciting violence and orchestrating abductions ahead of the Osun State governorship election.

The Imole Campaign Council, representing Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke, has called for the immediate arrest and prosecution of Senator Francis Adenigba Fadahunsi. The council alleges that a trending video depicts the senator inciting members of the All Progressives Congress to attack and kill supporters of the Accord Party in Ijeshaland prior to Saturday's governorship election.

According to the council, Fadahunsi boasted about utilizing federal might to obstruct Accord Party voters and coordinated the deployment of thugs and fake police officers into various local government areas, including his hometown of Ilase. The council further accuses the senator of utilizing the Intelligence Response Team to harass party leaders and orchestrating the abduction of Alaba Popoola, a House of Representatives candidate who remains in police custody.

In response to these developments, the council urged the Inspector-General of Police and the Director-General of the Department of State Services to intervene and ensure the senator is prosecuted according to the laws of the Federation.
