BioHarvest Sciences Announces Share Buyback of Up to 5 Percent
BioHarvest Sciences Inc will repurchase up to 5% of its outstanding common shares, citing a market valuation that does not reflect its underlying business value.
BioHarvest Sciences Inc authorized a share repurchase program on September 29, 2026, to buy back up to 5% of its outstanding common shares. The program is structured as a normal course issuer bid under Canadian practice, permitting the purchase of a maximum of 1,133,392 shares over the next 12 months.
The company board stated that current market prices do not fully reflect the business's underlying value or future growth prospects. CEO Zaki Rakib described the move as an investment in the asset the company knows best.
Rakib noted that the company has evolved from a business centered on its VINIA product into a technology-driven entity. He highlighted the company's proprietary Botanical Synthesis platform, which is capable of developing and manufacturing high-value plant-derived molecules for multiple industries, including rare fragrances and natural sweeteners.
