SK hynix Launches Ventures Brand to Expand AI Ecosystem

SK hynix Inc. launched a corporate venture capital brand, SK hynix Ventures, to secure innovative technologies and expand strategic partnerships within the global AI ecosystem. The company introduced the brand during the inaugural SK hynix Ventures Day in Silicon Valley, where executives met with startup leaders and venture capitalists.

CEO Kwak Noh-Jung outlined a strategic shift in the company's venture capital approach, moving from tech sensing and path finding toward leading collaborative innovation. The company will now target investments in AI computing, data centers, system software, and optical interconnects.

This initiative builds on a corporate venture capital track record established in 2015. Since then, the company has invested in startups across Japan, Israel, China, and the United States, generating returns that more than double its cumulative investment.
