Israeli Forces and Settlers Target Palestinian Homes and Vehicles
Israeli forces demolished a residential building in East Jerusalem while settlers torched vehicles and property across the West Bank and Hebron Governorate.
Israeli forces and settlers conducted a series of attacks on Palestinian property and residences across East Jerusalem and the West Bank between October 5 and October 6, 2026. In East Jerusalem, Israeli forces demolished a five-story residential building containing 10 apartments in the Al-Tur neighborhood following a final notice and years of permit denials.
Simultaneous military operations in the West Bank included raids in Bani Naim, where troops declared a closed military zone and converted three houses into military posts, and the eviction of a Palestinian family from their home in Tell village. The United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs reported approximately 170 demolished Palestinian structures in East Jerusalem since the start of the year.
Parallel to military actions, Israeli colonists carried out arson and vandalism. On October 5, attackers targeted homes and vehicles in the Hebron Governorate, specifically in Wadi Jheish and Wadi Al-Rakhim, where they torched hay and smashed windows. On October 6, settlers torched four vehicles in Aqraba and attempted to burn a poultry facility in Farkha while spraying racist slogans. The Palestinian Colonization and Wall Resistance Commission noted these events as part of a broader trend, tracking over 14,742 attacks across the region since October 2023.
