Samvardhana Motherson Net Profit Rises 102% in Q1 FY27

Samvardhana Motherson International reported a 101.64% increase in quarterly net profit to ₹1,032.05 crore and acquired Shenzhen Autocruis to expand technological capabilities.

Samvardhana Motherson International reported a 101.64% year-on-year increase in consolidated net profit to ₹1,032.05 crore for the first quarter of FY27. Revenue from operations grew 16.65% to ₹35,243.77 crore, while EBITDA climbed 30.44% to ₹2,950 crore.

To support growth, the company operationalized three new plants and is completing 13 others. It incurred ₹31,614 crore in capital expenditure during the quarter and acquired Shenzhen Autocruis to enhance its technological capabilities.

Chairman Vivek Chaand Sehgal attributed the results to the company's integrated Design, Engineering, Manufacturing, Assembly, and Logistics (D.E.M.A.L.) capabilities. He noted that disciplined execution and cost optimization maintained profitability despite input cost inflation.
