Wyoming Opens Early and Absentee Voting for August Primaries

The Wyoming Secretary of State's Office has initiated the early and absentee voting process for the upcoming Congressional, State, and Gubernatorial primary elections. These elections are scheduled to take place on Tuesday, August 18, 2026.

Registered voters can request absentee ballots through mail or at local county offices within the calendar year, though requests cannot be made on election day. Those choosing to vote in person at county offices will have their ballots placed in envelopes to be counted on election day. Mail-in voters must use provided envelopes and regular postage to return their ballots to the respective county clerk's office.

To maintain election integrity, the Secretary of State's guidelines require primary voters to specify their registered political party and confirm their eligibility to vote before casting a ballot.
