National Consumer Commission Recalls 945 Nissan, Toyota and Lexus Vehicles

The National Consumer Commission announced a recall on July 22, 2026, affecting 945 vehicles across three brands due to critical safety defects. The recall addresses separate mechanical failures involving fuel systems and engine contamination.

Nissan is recalling 314 Qashqai SUVs produced between May 2021 and September 2024. The commission stated that fuel pipe movement in the engine bay may cause wear and subsequent fuel leaks. This action follows a previous recall conducted in October 2025.

Additionally, 631 vehicles from Toyota and Lexus are being recalled due to machining debris contaminating V35A engines. This includes 507 Toyota Land Cruiser 300 units and 124 Lexus LX600 units produced between December 2022 and May 2024. The debris can cause crankshaft main bearing failure, potentially leading to engine knocking, difficulty starting, or sudden stalls at high speeds. Affected owners are urged to visit authorized dealerships for free repairs.
