TSMC Reports Record Third Quarter Net Profit of $23.6 Billion

Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company reported a record third-quarter net profit of US$23.6 billion, driven by surging global demand for AI hardware.

Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company reported a record net profit of NT$763.1 billion (US$23.6 billion) for the third quarter of 2026, marking a 68.7 percent increase year-on-year. This result represents the company's sixth consecutive record quarterly net profit. Quarterly revenue rose 50.9 percent to NT$1.5 trillion, exceeding analyst estimates.

The growth stems from massive global demand for AI hardware and leading-edge process technologies. As the primary contract manufacturer for Nvidia, Apple, AMD, and Broadcom, the company's performance serves as a health check for the broader AI ecosystem. The company stated that its business was supported by strong demand for its leading-edge process technologies.

TSMC is currently expanding its footprint in the United States by building chip plants in Arizona, a move expected to influence future earnings. Despite the record growth, analysts warn that high valuations and investor expectations of perfection create risks of a market bubble.
