Apple Releases iOS 27 Beta 5 With Enhanced Siri AI

Apple released the fifth developer beta of iOS 27 and iPadOS 27 on August 10, 2026, as part of a refinement process leading toward a public launch in September. The update focuses on the integration of Apple Intelligence and a conversational Siri AI designed with personal context and onscreen awareness.

Beta 5 introduces updated Liquid Glass icons for apps including Safari, Siri, and Remote, alongside a more transparent interface option for the Liquid Glass design. The update also expands Siri's enhanced voice support to British English and adds battery warnings for weak cellular connections and refined Search settings for Home Screen suggestions.

While the software supports iPhone 11 and newer models, including the second-generation iPhone SE, the company noted that specific Apple Intelligence and Siri AI features require newer hardware. These capabilities are limited to the iPhone 17 Pro, iPhone 17 Pro Max, and iPhone Air.
